PAST EVENTS

Unless you were living under a rock, you would have heard that on August 25, 26, and 27, 2006 the Church had a food festival. And what a festival it was, everyone seemed to be happy and in a good mood even those who did not sleep much because they were too involved in preparations and cleaning. This past June 18, 2006 eight of our children spent almost 2 weeks at the Antiochian Village camp grounds in PA. The trip from the church to the camp site was approximately 330 miles. The children had a blast, learned about the Church the Saints and the Divine Liturgy, as well as made some new friends. To view photos from the camp click Camp06

Bishop Mark visited St. James Parish the weekend of March 31st. He presided over the vespers and Sunday's divine liturgy.

Saturday our bishop and members of the parish enjoyed a Mediterranean meal at the Phoenician restaurant in Montgomery. Sunday lunch was served in the church hall. Follow the link for photos and videos from Sundays liturgy Bishopmark0406

Sunday of Orthodoxy 2006

Sunday March 12, a special service was held at St. James to celebrate Sunday of Orthodoxy. It is a day that the church has designated to celebrate the reintroduction of the Icons to the Church. We were pleased to host several other Orthodox priests and and their parishioners as well as Father Alexander Atty from Louisville who presided over the services.
